Another job call

So at the end of the last post I put that JD was called to see if he was interested in applying for a warehouse job in SLC out of nowhere! On Friday he got another call for a different warehouse that will be opening in Draper! The guy told JD he would send him an email with information and if he was interested to email him back, so we emailed. He called again today to talk more to JD. He said if they could not set up an interview for when we are in Utah, then he at least wanted to go to lunch with him. Hopefully, this is a good sign!!

Needless to say we have applied for both!

It is so weird because we set up this monster account last summer for Utah jobs and really have not done anything with it since the end of August! That is why I think it is so bizarre that he got two calls in one week for Utah jobs! Maybe this time it is REALLY time for us to move home! I'm now checking all the time to see if there are more that we can apply to on Monster.

Anyway, please keep JD in your prayers that something will work out!

"Zing, Zang, Zoom" Barnum Bailey's Circus

Miah, JD and Isaac at the Animal Open House before the circus

Miah, Isaac and JD meet a clown at the Clown College (Pre-Show)

This is what Isaac thought of the circus . . .TOO LOUD!!! He finally got use to it or bored enough that he mostly just played with the chair until the second hour. The second hour they had the elephants and tigers and he liked that.

Miah with the hat that came with the cotton candy. Can you believe that the cotton candy cost as much as one of the tickets I got? CRAZY! But what is the circus without cotton candy?

Circus Shot

The kid both fell asleep on the way home. The show did not get over until 9:50. It went later than I thought. They were exhausted, but had a good time.

In other news, JD got a call while we were at dinner from a warehouse in SLC. They had seen his resume on Monster and were calling about a warehouse manager job in SLC. I'll keep you posted!

Weekend and this week

We gave our old camera to Miah since the one we bought her for Christmas does not work with Macs. She has had fun taking pictures. So does Isaac. These are both pictures they took of themselves.

We had a nice weekend. On Saturday we needed to go to the bank and so we hit the mall too. We let the kids ride the merry-go-'round and the train rides. I didn't have my camera though because it was a spur of the moment to go there. We came home and JD cut Miah and Isaac's hair. We bathed them and got them ready for church and to bed. Then I cut JD's hair and got him all trimmed.

Yesterday, we spent the day together. I had sharing time to do, which went fine. I didn't have to teach the primary lesson, so I was going to take Isaac into the nursery. He still won't stay in there without us. I can't say that I blame him though since the two ladies who take turns are both spanish speakers and he can't communicate with them. I ended up having to make more of the handouts that I cut into a game, so we stayed by the copier the second hour and JD helped me too.

We have a busy week this week. Today, I'm trying to get things cleaned and laundry done. I usually do that on Wednesday, but I will have the car, so I want to take advantage of that. I will have the car because we have the circus on Wednesday. Then we have Joy School Tuesday and Thursday, depending on how late we get home from the circus. Friday we have a birthday party.

I'm really looking forward to our trip. I've started a schedule of things to do and people to see already.

Does anyone else read this wonderful blog?

I stumbled upon it last night, clicking onto it from a friends blog. Wow, I read it for at least 3 hours. I have not been feeling well this week and reading this blog really put things into perspective for me. I really felt this wonderful connection with this special women who shares her life on her blog.

It really reminded me of my theme for this year to be thankful for what I have. I am THANKFUL that I have a body that functions (most of the time :) and that I have wonderful children who are healthy and happy.

SNOW fun!

Miah making snow angels in the backyard. Isaac wouldn't lay in the snow.

Miah at Plum Tomatoes, the local pizza place.
A tradition that was started at USU during Snow Days was to walk to the local pizza place. Since we have one two blocks away, we went and had lunch there. Missed you Jeff and Tiscia!

Isaac enjoying his pizza and garlic knots. Yum!

Snow at the beach!

We went to the beach to see the snow there. It looked really cool where the sand and snow mixed. The waves were the biggest we have seen yet.

SNOW day

Last night we got about 8-12 inches, so JD's work called it a SNOW DAY and he doesn't have to go in! YEAH! Now, if the wind would just stop blowing so we can go play in it!

Circus . . .

Yeah, I just bought $12 circus tickets for us! We've never taken the kids before, so I hope they like it! We are going on March 18th.

Saturday outing

We let the kids stay up on Thursday to watch American Idol with us. They were funny and put their chairs on the couch to sit by us, but still in their chairs. Funny kids!

I did not break the new camera! YEAH! I did drop it on Valentines and I guess we must have got fingerprints all over it trying to fix it. Luckily, JD figured that out for me. I was really relieved!

This week I had just been being so grumpy with the kids, ok basically with everyone. I told JD that I thought I needed some time to myself and asked him to take the kids to do something. He went and got me some breakfast at Dunkin Donuts, the kids favorite place. He told me that he was going to take the kids to a movie, so I asked which one. He was going to take them to see Caroline. Has anyone seen it? I had heard that it was kind of scary and to not take little kids, so he took them to a McDonalds with a playplace for a couple of hours.

In the afternoon, Kadia came to watch the kids. We went to one of JD's professor from LIU art gallery openings. It was good for JD to see some people and re-connect with them. It was great for me to get out! We also did a little shopping and got the kids a few things for Easter. I also got 3 new cuttlebug embossing folders. Yeah! It was nice, kid free day for me. I don't really ever get those since we don't have family to help watch the kids!
